The Calendar of Shows

From May 11th to July 2nd, the Greek Theater of Syracuse will host an exciting lineup of events for the 2023 season. This year's program features four new appointments, including classic tragedies and groundbreaking theatrical projects. Be prepared to embark on a journey through time as these performances bring ancient tales to life on the stage.

The season kicks off with the debut of Aeschylus' "Prometheus Chained," directed by Leo Muscato and translated by Roberto Vecchioni. Next, be mesmerized by Euripides' "Medea," directed by Federico Tiezzi and translated by Massimo Fusillo. The ancient stones of the Greek theater will witness the first-ever performance of Aristophanes' comedy, "Peace," directed by Daniele Salvo. Finally, the season culminates with "Ulysses – The Last Odyssey," a captivating new work directed by Giuliano Peparini. Reduced fares are available for seniors, students, and groups of more than 20 people. Schools can take advantage of special rates at €25 per ticket.
